Adding Camera in NVRmini overview

NVRmini supports multiple brands of IP cameras including megapixel cameras. You can add cameras in NVRmini by using the [Auto Search] function or add them manually. Only cameras with UPnP support can be found with [Auto Search]; cameras without UPnP support must be added manually.

Adding camera manually

1.) Login to NVRmini with admin account

  • Do not use any account other than admin because only administrator can add the cameras

2.) Click on [Settings]

3.) Click on [IP Camera], then click on [Camera Settings]

4.) Make sure you are in the [Camera Settings] menu

5.) Click to select the channel number that you want to add the camera

6.) Fill in all the fields within the area selected

  • Enter the [Camera Name] however you like
  • Enter the IP address or domain name of your camera
  • Leave the camera port to 80 unless you know exactly why you need to change it
  • Enter the camera's admin account and password
  • Do not use any account other than admin because it will not work

7.) Click on [Auto Detection]

  • Leave the network protocol to its default selection unless you know exactly why you need to change it

8.) Click on [Save]

  • Whenever you change the setting here, you need to click on [Save] or the setting won't be updated

Adding camera automatically

1.) Login to NVRmini with admin account

  • Do not use any account other than admin

2.) Click on [Settings]

3.) Click on [IP Camera], then click on [Camera Settings]

4.) Click on [Camera Search]

5.) Click on [Search]

6.) The search results are listed, choose a camera to add by press button

7.) Type the [Administrator Name] and [Password] and press [Add] to add new camera.

8.) If succeeds, you will see this message "update IP camera successfully" and please press [OK], if not, please check the setting.
