Database repair overview

DBtools is used to re-associate recorded video and database when below situations happen.

• The system disk is formatted to reinstall OS.
• Database is broken.

Video record database may be broken because of some reasons, such as

• Computers are shut down abnormally. Video data are not flushed to disks.
• Record files are moved manually so that database and record files are not consistent.

Repair the database

To recover the database, you need to run DB_Tools. Please follow the steps for recovery.

DBtools 3.2.8.4 and above

1.) Run DB_Tools.exe and select [Repair database]

2.) Select [Modify Location] option and change the storage location of video to original one such as D:\temp by double clicking the path.

3.) Select [Repair Database] and click [Repair]. Press Yes when the warning box shows up.

4.) Processing.

• Please note that repairing process may take few minutes to hours depending on the size of database and is not allowed to be stopped.

5.) Database repair completed.

DBtools 3.0.2.8

1.) Run DB_Tools.exe and select [Repair database]

2.) Change [Verify Only] to [Repair(Complete)] (in this screenshot, the storage path is D:\nuuo record files).

• DO NOT verify because it might take several hours.

3.) Click on [Repair] and click [Yes] when the warning box shows up.

• Please note that repairing database may take many hours depending on the size of your database (4TB ~= 24 hours) and cannot be stopped.

4.) Database repair completed.
