Q: Why can't play exported AVI file on Windows Vista?
A: It is because Windows Media player supported codecs in Windows Vista does not include Intel Indeo 5.0 video codec which is used by NUUO playback software to export AVI format although this codec is built in Windows XP. The problem only happens when exporting recorded videos to AVI format, there is no problem to export recorded videos to ASF format.
Please follow below steps for troubleshooting.
1.) If your OS is Vista, please upgrade your OS to Windows Vista SP1 before exporting recorded video to AVI file or the exported AVI file can't be played by Windows Media Player. It is a bug of Windows Vista and already fixed by upgrading to Vista SP1.(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939130)
2.) If you export video to AVI file on Windows XP PC but play it on Windows Vista PC (vista SP1 x86). Please install Indeo 5.0 video codec on your Windows Vista PC before playing the AVI file by media player.
